He is in his fifties. The second digit of his age is difficult to read. His name appears on the census as stated above. His occupation is “Minister”. He was born in Md., as were both of his parents.

His wife’s name is Ann W. Hammersley. She is 47 yeras of age. Under the space provided for occupation is written “Md. Asylum”, and in the next space states “Insane”. She was born in Virginia.

His son, “James Wes Jr” is living in his household at age 22. He was born in Virginia. His occupation is listed as “Tel Operator”. Also living in the home is a daughter named Maggie, who is 19 years of age. She was born in Maryland.
