Missions

Whatcoat Church Camden supports several missions throughout the area. We are passionate about sharing God’s love with others. Some of the missions we support throughout the year are listed here. There are a lot of ways to get involved.

The Shepherd Place

Throughout the year we collect school supplies and pajamas for the kids that are housed at The Shepherd Place

New Day Pregnancy Care Center

At the beginning of each year Whatcoat Church Camden supports the ministry of New Day Pregnancy Care Center. The ladies of the church work to make burp cloths and blankets while the rest of our family brings in baby supplies to bless the new moms.

Samaritans Purse

Operation Christmas Child

This is a year long effort to help share the love of Jesus with those who are less fortunate all across the world. We work to collect small items that will fit in a shoe box, that are practical and fun for kids across the world. These boxes are then distributed at Christmas to kids everywhere and this allows them to experience the love of Jesus.

Code Purple

Every winter we partner with Wyoming UMC to minister to the homeless in Dover by providing a warm meal and place to sleep on those nights where the temperatures get below freezing. There are many ways to serve including volunteering to chaperone, help with meals, help with transportation and prayers.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Every year Whatcoat Church Camden supports the efforts of Alex’s Lemonade Stand in their effort to fight childhood cancer. We sponsor a booth every year at the annual Wyoming Peach Festival. There are many opportunities to get involved in the ministry including riding on the Whatcoat float, serving at the booth and giving throughout the campaign.

Foster Angel

During the Christmas Season we open up our hearts and the doors of the church to minister to foster kids and their families. There are a lot of ways to get involved from buying presents for the kids to helping with the Christmas party. During the Christmas party we have a lot of fun ministering to the families with games, crafts, Christmas caroling and a visit from Santa Clause. We also provide a full traditional Christmas Dinner.
