Rev. Henry H. Bodine is listed as a pastor for the Mt. Hope M.E. Church in Aston Township, Delaware County, Pa. He replaced Rev. Ignatius T. Cooper who had just finished serving in 1858, a second of two separate terms of service at the church.

There is an H. H. Bodine listed among “Preachers of the Last Philadelphia Conference in Harrisburg – …It assembled on Wednesday, March 13th, 1867, and was held in the old Locust Street church.

In the 1880 Census for Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pa. taken on 5 Jun 1880 shows H. H. Bodine as 45 years of age, having been born in Pennsylvania. His father was born in New Jersey, and his mother was born in Pennsylvania. His occupation is listed as “Minister”. Also living in his home is his wife, Anna M. who is 44 years of age, keeping house. She too was born in Pennsylvania with her father being born in N.J. and her mother born in Pa. There are no children present in the home, but there is one young, white female who is listed as “servant”.
